Collective Worship
We regularly discuss and celebrate special days in Collective Worship such as Disability Awareness Day this week and ‘Giving Tuesday’ next week. We would like pupils to contribute more to our Collective Worship. I have asked pupils to write a letter to me if they would like us to celebrate a special day in Collective Worship, linked to a cause close to their heart. I will then discuss these requests with the Year 6 Collective Worship Committee and some of these will be fed into the Calendar for next year. Please do write to me if you have a special cause in mind.
Our weekly Wednesday class Collective Worship continues. All dates are also all available on the calendar here Stay Informed: Calendar and Term Dates (demat.org.uk)
Parent Survey
Please follow this link to complete this short parent survey on Behaviour in our school. https://participate.schoolsurveys.com/f7TUQ3Vf2t9gUyqw It should only take 5 minutes. We continuously work hard to improve the behaviour of our children to ensure a safe learning environment for all. We really value your feedback and will take the time to read all your responses.
Christmas Events
Friends of SSJ have many Christmas events planned. Next Friday is our Annual Christmas Fayre. This will be held in the hall from 3:30 till 5pm. More details will be sent by Friends next week. Volunteers are warmly welcome. Please get in touch with friends@stanground-st-johns.peterborough.sch.uk if you are able to help.
Drop Off and Collection Safety
Now that Reception pupils have settled in, we request that you leave your children at the gate with Miss Digby in the morning. A member of staff will be waiting in the cloakroom to assist them.
If you are collecting your child from an after-school club, please do not park in the school car park as this is for staff only. It causes a safeguarding risk if you are entering or leaving at the same time as children are walking out of school.
