At Stanground St John's we teach Maths using the platform Complete Mathematics which has been designed by Mathematics specialists and researchers. Complete Mathematics ensures thorough teaching of yearly objectives and allows teachers to analyse gaps in knowledge and teach to these. It also provides the opportunities to 'quiz' the children so that teachers can assess whether objectives have been met. Complete Mathematics offers a service called Tutor. This allows teachers to set modules personalised to each child where they can access teaching videos and practise a particular skill. This is completed in school and at home.

We strive for Mastery for all of our children and teach Maths to a high quality every day. Maths lessons follow the same structure from EYFS all the way through to Year 6, this is to create familiarity and consistency across the school for the children.

We expect children to practise their multiplication skills using the TT Rockstars platform. From Year 2 all the children use this to practise and learn their tables.
