Supporting Wellbeing and Mental Health

Our aim is to bring the best out of every pupil that attends Stanground St John’s CofE Primary School

Around three children in every primary school class experience a mental health difficulty, and many more face challenges such as bullying or bereavement.

At Stanground St John’s Primary School, children’s mental health and wellbeing are a priority. We weave wellbeing into our curriculum and everyday routines—greeting children each morning, using tools like blob trees to help them express their feelings, and lolly stick boxes to acknowledge worries big and small. We also take part in events such as Purple Day and Find Your Brave Week to celebrate and encourage positive mental health.
