Important Information

PE: PE day is every Monday. Swimming is on a Friday during Spring Term.

PE kits must be brought in on a Monday and the children will return home wearing it, due to PE being at the end of the day.

PE kits must consist of either a black school PE top, or a plain black t-shirt with black shorts. Suitable footwear must be worn. Children may wear a plain black tracksuit for outdoor PE.

*Please ensure that all items of clothing (school uniform, PE Kit and coats) are clearly named. Please ensure all earrings/jewelry are removed.

Reading: Reading books will be changed as often as required.

Our school expectation is that reading books are read a minimum of three times a week every week. Please ensure that you record in the reading log each time you listen to your child read at home or they read independently.

Tapestry:

This will continue to be used as a primary means of communication. This needs to be checked on a daily basis to ensure you are up to date with key information. This is also your route for sending any messages directly to the class teacher. Evidence of learning will continue to be posted, along with suggestions of ways you could continue to support your child at home.

Times Tables: We will be using Times Tables Rock Stars and Timestables.co.uk, throughout the week to practise and track our fluency with Times Tables. In Year 4, we aim for children to know their times tables and related facts fluently.

Home Learning: The children will be expected to compete 30 minutes every day practicing their times tables on Times Table Rock Stars or similar.

Children in Year 4 will sit the Multiplication Table Check in a three-week window during Summer Term 2024.
